THE REVEREND JARON STEPHEN GREEN has served in the community for over 20 years. He is a mentor, counselor, and social change advocate. He serves, with honor, as the Senior Pastor of Union Baptist Church of Cambridge, Massachusetts. An ordained preacher and anointed leader, his life and ministry are strengthened and supported by his loving wife, Concetta M. Green, and their family. Pastor Jaron Green earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, with studies concentrated in Biblical Studies and Social Science. He holds a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology, and is currently completing his Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership studies at Northeastern University, Boston, MA.
 
Pastor Green also attended the University of Massachusetts, Lowell for his certification in Project Management; and Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, where he was recognized and awarded the LindenLeader Award for outstanding service. Pastor Green is a 2008 Alumnus of Harvard Divinity School Summer Leadership Institute, and further studied at Harvard as a Minister in Vicinity. In 2017, he was awarded the Journey Alumni Award from Cambridge College.
 
Pastor Green lends his service on the Evangel University Alumni Council and supports several notable organizations, including the Boston NAACP, Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts, Cambridge Black Pastors Alliance, and the Conference of Baptist Ministers in Massachusetts.  Pastor Green is a human rights advocate and community philanthropist with urban neighborhoods at heart. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Human Rights Commission for the City of Melrose, MA, and on the Melrose’s Housing Production Plan Advisory Committee. Pastor Green is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
 
Pastor Green’s background in clinical therapy and education has informed his ministry of service. Throughout his career, he has counseled over 600 students and families, and has assisted over 400 families in maintaining stable, quality affordable housing. As a church planter, his outreach program partnered with the Boston Children’s Hospital, Somerville Homeless Coalition, public schools in Boston, and numerous social service agencies. The program’s missions efforts reached as far as Alaska, Haiti, and Romania.
 
Pastor Green toured the United States with a ministry team during his college years, and he continues to minister to many local congregations today. Under Pastor Green’s leadership, 142-year-old Union Baptist Church continues to shine as a beacon light in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  Union has experienced supernatural growth by serving the community and membership through its ministries of care and concern. Pastor Green’s powerful and prophetic ministry centers on radiating a message of hope, and inspiring people to a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.
